For many different reasons, you want to create and use a new Gmail account, but your old Gmail account still contains many important messages. Instead of sending the message in turn to the new Gmail, you just need to setup some simple steps then the emails contained in the old Gmail account will be transferred to a new Gmail account. This function has already been in Gmail for you.
Follow the steps below to transfer your Gmail messages from old to new Gmail account.
Step 1: First sign in to your old Gmail account and click on the Gear icon at the top right corner of the page, select Settings.
Step 2: In the Settings, click on the “Forwarding and POP/IMAP” tab and then select the option “Enable POP for all mail.”
As soon as you Enable POP, you will see a drop-down menu below which will let you decide what you want to do with the emails that are accessed by POP. You can save a copy in the old account, mark them as read, archive them or just delete them.
Once you have selected the desired option, click on “Save changes”.
Step 3: Login new Gmail account, select Settings ->Accounts Card -> Add a POP3 mail account you own in Check Email from other accounts section to receive email from other accounts.
Step 4: Fill old email address in the Email address box then click Next Step.
Step 5: Fill in all the information of your old account.
Click Add Account to add the account.
Step 6: In the next dialog box, select Yes, I want to be … if you want to receive messages from your old Email account by the new account and use the old email address to reply.
Step 7: At this stage, you’ve got all the old mail in hand, if you want to reply and send messages using the old mail address through old mail, continue these steps.
Enter the old email address and select Specify a different “Reply-to” address to specify another email address to reply.
Step 8: This step is to confirm that you are the owner of this email address, click Send Verification for Gmail to send a verification code.
Step 9: Log in to the old Gmail to get the code and paste it into Click on the link in the new account then click Verify.
After all mentioned steps, you just have to wait for the entire mail to be forwarded to the “new home”, speed depends on the number of mail available.
